Our student-led News Crew is the voice of Bentley Elementary, delivering daily announcements, important updates, and special features to our school community. These young broadcasters take on roles such as anchors, scriptwriters, camera operators, and editors—building confidence, communication skills, and teamwork along the way.
With creativity and leadership at the forefront, the News Crew keeps us informed and inspired every morning!
4th and 5th Grade Book Club
Bentley 4th & 5th Grade Book Club: Where Readers Grow!
Our 4th and 5th Grade Book Club is a space where young readers come together to explore books, share ideas, and grow a lifelong love of literature. Meeting twice a month, students choose their own books based on a shared theme, set personal reading goals, and reflect on their reading through journaling and discussion.
More than just a club, it’s a community of curious minds discovering the power of stories—one page at a time.
Art Club
Welcome to the Bentley Art Club!
The Art Club is a space where imagination comes to life! Open to students who love to draw, paint, and create, this club encourages self-expression and artistic exploration. Members will experiment with different materials and techniques while working on individual and collaborative projects that showcase their creativity.
From hallway displays to school-wide exhibits, our young artists help bring beauty and inspiration to Bentley Elementary!
Runners Club
Welcome to the Bentley Running Club!
We’re excited to kick off another season of fun, fitness, and friendly competition! Open to students from Kindergarten through 5th grade, our club promotes healthy habits, teamwork, and school spirit. Practices begin the week of October 20th, with sessions scheduled as follows:
- Mondays & Thursdays: Grades 3–5 (plus select 2nd grade Orchestra Club runners)
- Tuesdays & Thursdays: Kindergarten – 2nd Grade
Our runners will also have the exciting opportunity to compete against other elementary schools at county-level meets. Let’s lace up, show our Bentley pride, and run!
Safety Patrol
Introducing the Bentley Safety Patrol!
Our Safety Patrol team is made up of responsible and dedicated student leaders who help keep our campus safe and orderly. These students serve as role models, assisting with morning arrival, afternoon dismissal, hallway transitions, and more. Through their service, they develop leadership, teamwork, and a strong sense of community pride.

Our Chess Club brings together strategic thinkers from across grade levels to learn, play, and grow through the game of chess. Students sharpen their critical thinking, focus, and sportsmanship while enjoying friendly competition with peers.
In addition to weekly meetings, our club members proudly represent Bentley Elementary by competing against other schools. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, there's a place for you on our board!

Our 3rd Grade Read-a-Thon is a special event where students come together to celebrate the joy of reading! During this fun-filled afternoon, students dive into their favorite books, enjoy quiet reading time with friends, and earn exciting prizes along the way.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to build a love for reading, foster friendships, and create lasting memories—all while turning the pages of a great story!
