Bentley Elementary Honors Veterans with a Heartfelt Celebration
This morning, Bentley Elementary proudly hosted our annual Veterans Day celebration, an event dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The ceremony brought together students, staff, families, and veterans for a morning of gratitude, reflection, and pride.
We opened our program with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a beautiful performance of the National Anthem by our school chorus. The Drama Club, led by Ms. Webb and Ms. Lowe, then shared a touching presentation titled “Voices of Thanks,” expressing heartfelt appreciation for the sacrifices made by our veterans.
Students from Ms. Albert and Ms. Greek’s classes energized the audience with a lively rendition of “You’re a Grand Old Flag,” and Mrs. Hayes’ class presented a thoughtful Reader’s Theater performance that highlighted the meaning of service. The program concluded with a wonderful performance of “The Armed Forces Medley” by Ms. Stino and Ms. Schwendeman’s students, allowing veterans in attendance to stand and be recognized during their branch’s anthem.
We are incredibly proud of our students’ hard work and are honored to celebrate the heroes who have protected our freedoms. Thank you to our veterans, families, and staff for making this meaningful event possible. Bentley Elementary is grateful for your service, and we are proud to honor you today and every day.
