What does it mean to “Teach for a Day”? SCPS invites you to step into the classroom and inspire our students through career exploration, storytelling, and hands-on learning. Share your expertise by teaching a short lesson about your career, travel or cultural experiences, or a favorite hobby.

Your participation makes a lasting difference! When students meet professionals and community members who share their real-world experiences, it helps them connect classroom learning to future opportunities. These interactions can spark curiosity, build confidence, and help students imagine new paths they might not have considered before. From discovering new industries to learning about the skills that lead to success, Teach-In opens students’ eyes to a world of possibilities and helps them begin thinking about their career goals and personal passions.

Whether you can volunteer for one class period or the entire day, your involvement helps bring learning to life and supports our mission to prepare every student for college, career, and beyond.
